Fairfield Junior High Arts Month would like to Recognize Mrs. Loureiro (Theatre and Art)
Mrs. Loureiro has taught at Fairfield Jr. High School since it opened. Before that she taught for 7 years at Farmington Junior High. Born in Manti, Utah this Templar, graduated from Manti High School and then attended Utah state University with a major in Art Education. She later received her master's degree in Arts Curriculum Design from Lesley University, in Boston.
Loureiro is a self-professed Potterhead and would love to play Professor McGonagall. She is married, has 3 daughters, 2 sons in laws, 3 grandkids, 2 dogs, 3 grand kitties and 4 grand doggies. She loves acting, singing, drawing and reading. Best vacations involve travel especially, Europe, Universal Studios and Disneyworld. Her next goal is to decorate her basement as a tribute to Fantasy literature with her Potter and Narnia collections. Â

Our October students of the month. What a great group of kids! Lucky to call them Falcons đź’™

Fairfield Junior High Arts Month would like to recognize Mr. Farr (Orchestra)
Mr. Farr is excited to be the new orchestra teacher at Fairfield Junior High (as well as North Layton Junior High and several local elementaries)! Although this is his first experience teaching in the public schools, Mr. Farr has been a music teacher for many years - he is an active Suzuki cello teacher, the director of Counterpoint School of Music (a community music school in Bountiful), and he has led workshops and directed ensembles in Utah and North Carolina. Mr. Farr also performs as a cellist in the Bountiful Philharmonic and serves on its Board of Directors.
Mr. Farr loves spending time with his family , hiking, paddleboarding, playing music, and doing anything in or near the water. He loves the ocean (his favorite place on earth is Atlantic Beach, NC), Utah Utes football, hockey (Go Jets!), and the Grateful Dead. He's also pretty confident that he can beat anyone in this school in a game of air hockey.

Arts month and a band concert! A little fun before the show!

Great win Boys Basketball! Congratulations Coach Horne and Coach Messer.

Fall orchestra concert was amazing. Go Falcons!

Our 7th grade students had the opportunity to explore our building as a Deaf-Blind student. This experience was truly humbling and a wonderful learning experience for our students. Thank you to Mrs. Elmore, Mr. Eliason and Mrs. Tenney for providing this lesson for their students.

Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Katlyn Treasure
Mrs. Treasure likes read, write and crochet. She graduated from Weber State University and has been a teacher for 3 years, all at Fairfield. She has one baby and 2 dogs.
She hates bees and the dark. Her favorite vacation was when her & her husband drove all around the New England area. Her favorite city was Brattleboro, Vermont because it was beautiful and had the best museums.
Mrs. Treasure is the cheer advisor and does so much for FFJH. We are lucky to have her!!

Fairfield Volleyball vs Syracuse in the Playoffs. Go Falcons!

Teacher Spotlight - Mrs. Hughes:
In her spare time, Mrs. Hughes enjoys running, reading, and playing with her grandkids.
This is her 28th year at Fairfield. She student taught at Fairfield and has been here ever since.
Her favorite vacation is to Kauai, Hawaii.
A fun fact about Mrs. Hughes is that all of her own kids went to Fairfield Jr.
We are so lucky to have Mrs. Hughes here at Fairfield Jr. She brings a light into our building!

Our Falcons Varsity, JV and 7th grade Volleyball teams defeated Bountiful Jr today. We are so proud of our girls 👏🏽 Thanks to Coach Eliason and Coach Van Deusen for being amazing!
