Join Davis Reads 45 this summer! Students are challenged to read for 45 days, earning prizes every 5 days and a special end-of-summer event for those who complete the challenge. Pick up books during summer library hours. Families should check with their local elementary school for specific days and times. Regular summer reading helps prevent learning loss and supports continued academic growth. Contact your school or library to get started!

Davis School District has partnered with Waterford Upstart to provide our PreK children with an on-demand early learning program that gives you tools, coaching and resources so you can prepare your child for a bright future.

Program Benefits:

• Tailored software with fun and engaging lessons in reading, math and science that are done in just fifteen minutes a day
• Personalized family coaching and easy-to-use resources that support the work you’re already doing with your child
• A computer and internet access for those who qualify

Our students represented Adams with hard work, creativity, and determination—and it showed! It’s Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week at Adams! 🍎✨ We are incredibly grateful for our amazing teachers and staff who show up every day to support, inspire, and care for our students. Second grade students recently welcomed Mr. Luis Calquin, a member of our community and an immigrant from Chile, following their CKLA unit on the history of immigration. Mr. Calquin generously shared his courageous personal journey, giving students a meaningful firsthand perspective that brought their learning to life. We are grateful for his time and willingness to inspire our young learners.

🏅🐷 Adams Elementary Students Strike Gold in Reading! 🐷🏅 We are so proud of our amazing Adams Eagles for reaching the GOLD level in our Olympic Reading Challenge! Our students put in a ton of time reading and their hard work paid off in a big way. As promised, Mr. Sanders and Mrs. Burns held up their end of the deal… and kissed a pig! 🐷 Other staff members were silly stringed and even pied in the face. It was a fun way to celebrate a huge accomplishment and the students loved every minute of it. Thank you to our incredible staff for being such great sports and helping make reading fun and memorable for our students. And most importantly, congratulations to our students for all the reading, effort, and perseverance. We are proud of you!

Mr. Sanders and Mrs. Burns caused some March Madness chaos. The faculty and staff enjoyed a minute-to-win-it tournament of shooting hoops. Congratulations to Mr. White!

Today we want to give a big shout out to some amazing Adams Eagles who chose to spend their time serving others and taking care of our school by helping clean up the playground.

These students showed what it means to take pride in our school, work together, and make a difference through simple acts of service. Because of their hard work, our playground looks great and is a better place for everyone to play and learn.

We are so proud of these students for being leaders, showing responsibility, and giving their time to help others. Service matters, leadership matters, and these students set a great example for all of us.
