We had about 1 minute of hail, followed by a few minutes of heavy rain. It came very suddenly, but we were able to get everyone inside for indoor recess. By afternoon recess it was clear enough to go out. Utah weather makes for exciting recesses!

Purple Star Schools back-to-school night was a lot of fun at Hill aerospace Museum. Our Buffalo competed with Parkside panther in a push-up contest and then a dance off. Pretty sure the Buffalo was the winner. We appreciate all of the support for this event.

We had a fun spectacle this morning. One of the portables was demolished. Students were cheering on the workers as they knocked over walls and pulled it apart.
Sometimes when they go to move a portable, they find that taking it apart has compromised it too much. In that case, they salvage useful parts and demolish the rest.

Finalists will be selected and then Buffalo Point fans will be invited to vote for their favorite names between September 16 and September 27.
We will announce the buffalo's name on September 30.
Pulled pork is a new menu item this year at lunch. Paired with macaroni and cheese, it was a hit with students.
What a great first day at Buffalo Point! Thank you so much to Syracuse fire department for joining us this morning. It's so fun to see all our little buffaloes and their families. Thanks for being part of our TEAM. 2024-25 is going to be great!
Tomorrow is the big day! Students can find their teacher in front of the school. When the bell rings at 8:50, we will say the pledge together. Then students will wave goodbye to their families and come in the building with teachers to start a new school year.
