This week we had a WHOLE CLASS referred to the office for positive behavior. We are so proud Ms. Nye's class and their behavior when they had a substitute. The sub reported that they were all "fantastic, respectful, and on task!" We're so grateful for substitutes and for our students welcoming her and showing her Eagle pride!

Our 5th graders had an incredible time at Junior Achievement yesterday! They explored real-world skills like budgeting, careers, and financial decision-making through hands-on experiences that brought learning to life. We’re so proud of how engaged, responsible, and thoughtful they were throughout the day. Thank you to Junior Achievement and our volunteers for making it such a meaningful experience for our students! #DiveIntoLearning

Thanks Parents for another wonderful shout-out! This one goes out to Mrs. Patt in Second Grade!
"My son loves being in Mrs. Patt's class and he comes home excited about school and he does his homework right away, which we have never seen before. We are so grateful that he is loving Mrs. Patt's class."

Our amazing kindergarten teachers celebrated 100 days of school with their adorable students yesterday. So many dressed up like they were 100 years old! What a fun day for all as they celebrated their work so far this year!

Our first graders had a paws-itively fun 101st Day of School! 🐾 Dressed as Dalmatians, they enjoyed a day full of fun learning activities and celebrations. We love seeing how much they’ve grown!

Today we have a shout out for Mrs. Porter - this parent said, "Mrs. Porter has been an incredible impact on our family this year. My son has struggled with some behavioral challenges, and I was very nervous about sending him to school. From day one, she has never once made him feel different. Instead, she has met him with patience, understanding, and genuine care. She makes him feel seen, welcomed, and valued every single day. From being nervous to go to school, to now looking forward to it every single day and being so excited to tell Mrs. Porter all the things that excite and make him happy! She has also been amazing with communication, always keeping me informed and helping me understand how I can best support him at home. Because of her, I feel like we are truly a team working together for my child. She has brought so much peace to what was an anxious and emotional season for me as a mom. I can honestly say she has been heaven sent for our family, and I am beyond grateful for the love and dedication she pours into her students every day."

Thank you Adams community for sending in shout outs for our wonderful staff! This came in for Mrs. Lawrence - “ Thank you for being the kind of teacher every child deserves. Your patience, creativity, and kindness make a bigger difference than you’ll ever know. I am so grateful for the care and dedication you pour into your students every single day. Your passion for teaching truly shines, and it has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for believing in my child and cheering him on, and helping him discover his potential and seeing him for him and believing in his strengths. You are truly one of a kind! You don’t just teach lessons—you inspire confidence, curiosity, and kindness. Thank you for everything you do!”

Our next staff shout-out is for Mr. G - thank you for keeping all of these shout-outs coming in! "Mr. Gonzales has been wonderful in supporting my daughter both academically and in building her confidence in her abilities. He creates a fun, engaging learning environment that balances independence with accountability, allowing students to grow and take ownership of their learning.
My daughter has truly enjoyed being in his class, and we are very grateful for the encouragement and dedication he brings to his students every day."

They are incredibly patient and kind with all of my children, especially my daughter, who has medical needs and often needs to call home. Anytime I need assistance, they are always willing to help with genuine care and understanding. Their warmth and dedication help create a happy, welcoming atmosphere at Adams, and we are so grateful for everything they do to support students and families.”

One more shout-out this weekend for another fabulous and caring teacher here at Adams. Ms. Phelps received a big nod - "A massive shout out Ms. Phelps! Some teachers teach subjects, but she teaches heart! She has gone above and beyond to make school a safe, happy place for our son. Her unwavering support and belief in him truly changed the trajectory of his life. We are beyond grateful for her kindness and dedication."

Wow! Thank you for all the staff shout-outs! It's awesome hearing all these amazing things about our wonderful staff. Mrs. Barney received one - "Mrs. Barney has gone above and beyond for my son and all the kids in her class. She is passionate about his education, she makes her classroom a safe place, and she cares deeply about each and every child. She treats every child equally and respectfully. I love hearing how amazing she is everyday when my son talks about his day. He has autism and is THRIVING with her as a teacher. With her the kids are excited to learn. We will forever be grateful for Mrs. Barney and the HUGE confidence boost she has given our son. Teachers like Mrs. Barney are what we love about Adams. The inclusivity, the care, the determination to make education fun, and the love for all students. Thank you Mrs. Barney!!!"

We just received another Staff Shout-Out! Thank you parents, keep those coming so we can recognize our amazing staff here at Adams! This was is for Mrs. Palmer. "We would love to give a heartfelt shout-out to Mrs. Palmer, our son’s kindergarten teacher. From the very beginning, she has shown him nothing but patience, kindness, and deep respect. As we navigate learning differences and big emotions, she has met him exactly where he is—seeing his strengths, believing in him, and loving him well. Mrs. Palmer creates a classroom where children feel safe, valued, and understood. The way she advocates for our son, supports his growth, and treats him with dignity has meant more to our family than words can fully express. Because of her, school feels like a place he belongs. We are so grateful for teachers like Mrs. Palmer who lead with compassion and remind us just how powerful a loving, respectful educator can be. Thank you for being such a light in our child’s life and in this school community."

This is wonderful - we have another Shout-Out of an amazing staff member, Ms. King. "Ms. King worked with my kid who was seriously struggling to help him identify and manage his ADHD. Her patience, regular open communication with me, and her ability and willingness to see his struggle as a struggle and not just a behavioral problem actually helped me better understand what he was handling. I feel better equipped to help him now, knowing his teacher is willing and able to see his struggle and help him build those skills."

I'm so excited to announce that we have received another Staff Shout-Out! This time for Mrs. Durrant. This parent said, "Mrs. Durrant has been so open and understanding with my child’s health concerns. She goes out of her way to ensure I am informed daily and he is provided the assistance he needs. This enables me to immediately identify and address concerns while also ensuring he receives the help needed to be successful. I know teachers are extremely busy and have so much work. The fact she still makes an effort to help him an keep me informed means the world to this stressed mom!"
